"Le premier avion RF101C à poser à Phalsbourg n'a jamais atterri. Il se crasha. Après un long vol au dessus de l'Atlantique, commençant, je crois en Caroline du Sud, le pilote effectua un passage bas assez téméraire, perdit le contrôle et s'éjecta. L'appareil semblait flotter comme une feuille morte avant de s'écraser dans un champ. Personne ne fut blessé. Je pense que le rapport officiel disait que le pilote n'a pas frimé mais a guidé son appareil hors des zones habitées. Vous prenez la version que vous voulez .... Qui sait?
Nous avons eu également un pilote qui s'est crashé au décollage lors d'un entrainement en 1958 et qui a été tué."

 "The first RF101C plane to arrive at Phalsbourg did not land. It crashed. After the long flight over the Atlantic , starting I believe in South Carolina, the pilot did a fly by and while "hot dogging" lost control and ejected. The plane appeared to float end over end like a leaf falling from a tree. It crashed in a field. No one was injured. I think the official report said that the pilot was NOT showing off, but carefully guided his aircraft away from local villages before ejecting. You pick the version you like best.Who knows? Also we had a pilot crash on take off in a training mission in 1958 and get killed"
